Ninth Grade

Well-trained ninth graders at The School of Choice are now moving beyond a logic-based learning environment and into the world of rhetoric, a world which perfects critical and creative thinking and improves students’ performance in technical subjects. They should consider taking their first AP course in the ninth grade, particularly European history, Computer Science, Chemistry or Biology. Ninth graders will take geometry and trigonometry for mathematics as they finish off their integrated science (pre-AP) program. The World Civilizations Program allows students to take certain options of interest like Chinese, Hispanic or Continental literature and history, or even Comparative Religions. Language students will move to level three and sometimes choose fewer mandatory hours of art and PE.
